Happy St. Patrick’s Day

P. is first generation Irish on her mother’s side so St. Patrick’s Day is a big deal.  P. had the whole family over for a traditional Irish meal and created this multidimensional centerpiece that incorporated orange astromara, moss, peat covered rocks and 2 pots of clovers to represent shamrocks and the thousands of shades of green that the beautiful emerald isle contains (and a mischievous leprechaun and his pot of gold for a little added fun!).

Adding to the tablescape are P.’s antique store candelabra finds- which were covered in years of wax, dust and grime but transformed into a sparkling delight with a little elbow grease!

Vintage Milk Glass Bridal Shower in the Goldcoast

B. approached Pockets Filled with Posies to help her shower her niece with love at her “Bridal Shower Tea.” The colors chosen were pinks and apple green.  The shower was held in the party room of a condo in the heart of the Goldcoast with amazing views of the city and lake.

B. was interested in a soft, feminine, classic and vintage vibe, and was planning on using a family heirloom silver tea set as a showpiece for the celebration.  Once A. and P. heard the words vintage and feminine- they knew immediately what they would use- their vintage milk glass collection!

Moss, pink and white garden roses, pink spray roses, seeded eucalyptus, dusty miller, belles of ireland, white dhalia’s, pink rennaculas and green hypericum berries were chosen to create a 5 bud vase cluster on each table as well as a cluster for the serving table and a couple extra arrangement that were scattered around the room (and yes, we STILL had milk glass left over! We. Love. It.)

Special thanks to Maureen West of Maureen West Catering for introducing B. to Pockets Filled With Posies!
